Norwegian Therese Johaug will aim to continue her 100 per cent start since returning from a doping ban when she competes at the latest International Ski Federation Cross-Country World Cup event of the season in Beitostølen.

The 30-year-old, who tested positive for clostebol in 2016 and served an 18-month drugs suspension, has won won all three individual distance events.

She will aim to maintain her strong comeback to competition in the latest event to be held in her home country, which begins tomorrow and concludes on Sunday (December 9).

Johaug will have the chance to build on her success during the women's 15 kilometres race tomorrow.

A men's 30km event is also on the programme on the opening day, before the World Cup concludes with relays on Sunday.

The opening three individual distance races of this World Cup season have been won by different athletes, with Russian Alexander Bolshunov, Sjur Røthe of Norway and German Janosch Brugger all triumphing so far this campaign.

Beitostølen is staging a Cross-Country World Cup for the first time in nine years having been absent from the circuit since 2009.

It follows last weekend's competition in Lillehammer, which hosted the 1994 Winter Olympic and Paralympic Games.
