Canada won both beach volleyball gold medals on the final day of competition at the Trinbago 2023 Commonwealth Youth Games here.

Katarina Drozd and Calinda Kok triumphed in the women's final and Oliver Toomes and Andon Kiriakou in the men's gold medal match at the Black Rock Facility.

Drozd and Kok did not drop a set en route to their gold, and won both 21-14 against Jasmine Rayner and Cameron Zajer of Australia in the final.

Women's bronze went to New Zealand's Tineke Hinton and Kiana Stevenson, who overcame Kenya's Sharon Jepkogei Arusei and Abigael Chebet Chesebe 22-20, 21-16.

Toomes and Kiriakou took men's gold with a 21-16, 21-14 victory against Peter Soczewka and Rob Morgan of England.

Calum Stewart and Juraj Krajci earned another bronze for New Zealand, coming from behind to beat Cyprus' Alexis Savvidis and Anninos-Alexios Chrysostomou 12-21, 21-19, 16-14.

The inaugural fast5 netball competition at the Commonwealth Youth Games concluded with gold for Australia, who chalked up a fifth win of the competition by beating South Africa 39-29 in the final at Shaw Park Complex.

England held off a comeback from Scotland to win the bronze medal match 34-29.

Track cycling was the other sport which concluded today at the National Cycling Velodrome.

It was a successful day for Australia's Tayte Ryan, who took his gold medal tally to threw with victories in the men's 1,000 metres time trial and keirin.

He clocked 1min 03.663sec in the time trial, beating Scotland's Calum Moir by 0.260sec and Malaysia's Muhammad Hafiq Mohd Jafri by 1.281, and won the keirin with his time of 11.392 by 0.070 ahead of Malaysia's Darwish Putra Muhd Sanusi.

There were three further golds for Australia, who impressed throughout the cycling competition at Trinbago 2023.

Road race champion Keira Will had finished second to Laura Bates in the women's points race on the track, but got the better of her compatriot by 0.463 with her time of 2:28.149 in the women's 2,000m individual pursuit.

Samuel McKee triumphed in the men's 10 kilometres scratch race, and Liliya Tatarinoff won the women's 500m time trial by 0.191 with her time of 36.023.

Sarah Johnson of Scotland finished second in the time trial, but earned victory in 11.969 in the women's keirin to add to her sprint success.

Moir also took his second gold of the Games for Scotland, adding to his 3,000m individual pursuit victory with a triumph in the men's points race.

The Commonwealth Youth Games concluded with Australia topping the medals table on 26 golds, followed by England with 16 and Scotland with 12.

A total og 29 countries and territories earned podium finishes at Trinbago 2023.

The Closing Ceremony is due to be held tomorrow.
