Hangzhou 2022 has held its first transportation and logistics services conference as preparations continue for the Asian Games and Asian Para Games.
The conference was attended by Hangzhou 2022 deputy secretary general and Deputy Mayor in the Municipal Government Chen Weiqiang, as well as Cai Hong, deputy director of Zhejiang Provincial Department of Transportation.
Chen said transportation and logistics for the Games would be complex.
He called for support, unity and cooperation from various departments to help strengthen overall coordination on the Games transport plan.
The division of responsibilities is expected to be determined as part of the transport plan.
Hangzhou 2022 said the meeting outlined the relevant conditions and work requirements of transportation and logistics services.
Discussions were reported to have also centred around the preparation of overall plans, infrastructure construction and the organisation of transportation services during competitions for athletes, team officials, technical officials and media.
Organisers will have to oversee transportation to the 58 venues which will be used at the Games.
Hangzhou 2022 is set to be the third time that China hosts the Asian Games, having previously done so in 1990 in Beijing and 2010 in Guangzhou.
It will be the 19th edition of the Games and is scheduled to take place from September 10 to 25 in 2022.
Hangzhou 2022 will also host the fourth edition of the Asian Para Games.
The Games are due to be held from October 9 to 15 in 2022.
