Austria's Chiara Hölzl claimed her first-ever win at an International Ski Federation (FIS) Ski Jumping World Cup, taking victory in the women's individual large hill event in Klingenthal today.

The 22-year-old topped the standings with 124.6 points at the German town's Vogtland-Arena.

It comes after she ranked third and second in this season's first two events in Lillehammer last weekend.

Slovenia's Ema Klinec finished second today with 118.9 points, while home favourite Katharina Althaus came third with 118.6.

Norway's Maren Lundby, the winner of both events on home snow in Lillehammer, had to settle for fifth place behind Japan's Sara Takanashi.

She continues to lead the overall standings, however, with 245 points.

Hölzl is second with 240 points, while Klinec is third with 180.

Action in Klingenthal concludes tomorrow with the men's individual large hill event.
