Competition at the International Ski Federation (FIS) Freestyle World Cup was postponed in Mammoth Mountain due to adverse weather conditions.

The opening day of the event had seen men’s and women’s halfpipe qualification take place as planned, as well as the women’s slopestyle.

Men’s halfpipe competition was set to resume today, along with the start of the men’s slopestyle qualification.

After a brief postponement, FIS officials made the decision to push the qualification back as a result of strong winds, heavy snowfall and low visibility on the course.

The qualification will now take place tomorrow.

Halfpipe finals are currently scheduled to proceed as planned at the American venue on Friday.

The men’s and women’s slopestyle competitions will conclude on Saturday (February 4).
