Mikael Kingsbury’s run of mogul victories in Calgary came to an end today as he was forced to settle for second at the International Ski Federation (FIS) Freestyle Skiing World Cup.

Heading into the event, the 24-year-old Canadian had six consecutive wins in the city’s WinSport Canada Olympic Park.

But this time, Kingsbury could only finish second as Australia’s Matt Graham pushed him off the top with a score of 85.34.

Kingsbury could only get a total of 83.90 in the final, but he has still maintained his lead in the moguls discipline World Cup standings as he sits on 320 points, 74 ahead of Graham, who jumped ahead of Kazakhstan’s Dmitry Reihard after he finished fifth today.

Benjamin Cavet of France finished third with a score 82.89.

Australia also had success in the women's event as Britteny Cox managed to increase her lead in the moguls World Cup standings with a victory.

She scored 82.11 to prevent Canadian sisters Justine and Chloe Dufour-Lapointe from winning, pushing them into second and third place respectively.

Cox now has 345 points in the standings, 84 in front of Justine Dufour-Lapointe.

The next stage of the FIS Freestyle Skiing World Cup calendar will see action take place in Deer Valley, United States, from February 2 to 4.
