The Asian Paralympic Committee (APC) has marked one month to go until the fourth APC General Assembly by announcing the meeting's agenda and unveiling its logo.

The General Assembly is due to be held in Bangkok in Thailand on November 28 and 29 and is the first of its kind under President Majid Rashed.

Rashed was elected in December 2014 and the Assembly will mark the half way point of his term.

At the meeting the member nations will discuss the APC constitution, they will be given information regarding the organisation's finances and receive updates from the organisers of various events in the region.

In addition, representatives from the International Paralympic Committee (IPC) and other International Federations will be in attendance.

"Following on from a successful Games for Asian nations at Rio 2016, the focus has firmly shifted to our region," said President Rashed.

"We look forward to discussing with our membership how we can use the next editions of the Paralympic Games and the regional events to drive the progress of the Paralympic Movement in Asia.

"We would like to thank the Paralympic Committee of Thailand for their support in organising this key meeting."

The logo for the Assembly has been designed by Brand Oath, an Edinburgh-based company.

It represents Wat Arun, the Temple of Dawn, located in Bangkok and is commonly used as a symbol for the city.

It features triangles in the design which represents the coming together of all the delegates at the Assembly.

This was inspired by the phrase "Together we are stronger" used by President Majid Rashed at the APC Membership Gathering in 2014.

More than 100 attendees including representatives from 31 of the region's 42 National Paralympic Committees are expected to attend the Assembly.

Meanwhile, 150 people are also expected to attend the APC Awards Gala Dinner where athletes and administrators who have contributed to the Paralympic Movement in Asia will be honoured.
