Examinations to become a qualified International Skating Union (ISU) singles, pairs and ice dancing judge are due to be held in Oberstdorf, Germany in September, it has been announced.

Courses will take place during the 2016 Nebelhorn Trophy International Competition between September 22 and 24 for singles and pairs skating, and in the same location from September 21 to 23 in ice dancing events.

Exams will consist of both written and practical sections, the ISU said.

They will begin with a series of 50 questions, including true and false and multiple choice sections. 

A candidate must correctly answer 84 per cent of questions in order to pass, and no less than 70 per cent in each of the five sections. 

The practical part will involving analysising a video showing a previous competition.

For those seeking to become qualified ice dancing judges, the practical part will also consist of officiating the Nebelhorn Trophy.
