Munich 2018 managing director leaves bid

March 22 - Richard Adam (pictured), the joint managing director of Munich's bid to host the 2018 Olympics and Paralympics, has left the organisation after it was claimed that he had been sacked because of a personality clash with chief executive Willy Bogner.

March 22 - Paul Deighton, chief executive of London 2012, said today that the registration scheme set up as the first step for would-be spectators at the Olympics and Paralympics had had 40,000 hits in the first four hours.
