The European Union has approved funding for two projects by the European University Sports Association (EUSA) and its institute as the coordinator.

The decision was announced by the Education, Audiovisual and Culture Executive Agency (EACEA) of the Erasmus+ Sport.

The EUSA Institute in Ljubljana, Slovenia, was granted funding for cooperation partnership project "Discovering university sport and supporting dual career (DiscoverU)".

It is aimed at increasing sport and physical activity opportunities for students in higher education.

Another partnership focusing on mental health named "Youth Individual Sports Mindset (YouMind)" was approved.

Adding to that, the EUSA Institute will partner with an initiative called "More than Games", which will oversee the planning and implementation of volunteer programme and educational activities at the Debrecen-Miskolc 2024 European Universities Games.

The last project is titled "European Week of Winter Sport" which will involve raising awareness about climate change and sustainability.

Erasmus+ is the European Union initiative to support education, training, youth and sport in Europe.
