The 1,400 metres technical races on Friday (July 7) started and finished at the Greek Tourist Organisation beach via the Kimzu Sea Lounge.

Andersen triumphed in the men's final in 8min 16.426sec, beating a trio of Italian athletes led by Paolo Marconi who clocked 8:24.497.

Davide Alpino was third in 8:25.757, with Claudio Nika missing out on the podium with his time of 8:31.066.

Today's final day of competition was in the long-distance category, covering 13.5 kilometres from Plaka Beach to Lake Voulismeni.

Andersen clinched a second gold of the World Cup in 1hour 10min 42.869sec, with Anastasios Tsouris of Greece taking silver in 1:11:57.267 and Alpino earning a second medal of the event in 1:14:14.247.

The Danish athlete took a bronze in the other men's event - the 180m sprint final on Lake Voulismeni.

He notched a time of 40.502sec, but could not deny Bulgaria's Andrii Kraitor a gold in 36.847 and Filippo Mercuriali of Italy a silver in 38.076.

A third Danish gold of the World Cup came from Caroline Küntzel, who clocked exactly 48 seconds in the women's sprint final to narrowly beat Italy's Cecilia Pampinella by 0.157sec.

Juliette Duhaie of Argentina took sprint bronze in 50.406, and a technical gold in 9:24.046.

Küntzel earned silver in the technical final after finishing more than six seconds off the pace in 9:30.317, with Pampinella completing the podium in 9:32.117.

Pampinella completed a full set of medals from the World Cup with a 1:20:21.187 finish in the long-distance race, with Anna Tschirky of Switzerland her closest challenger in 1:23:21.968.

Duhaie rounded off the top three in 1:24:18.937.

Agios Nikolaos was the first stop on this year's ICF SUP World Cup.

Sarasota in the United States is the only other World Cup event currently scheduled for this year from October 13 to 15.

This year's ICF SUP World Championships are scheduled for November 15 to 19 in Pattaya in Thailand.
