The International Basketball Federation (FIBA) have released the pools for the 2023 3x3 World Cup, which will be taking place in Vienna.

In the men's side, five-time winners and defending champions Serbia will be playing France, Germany, 2022 AmeriCup runners-up Brazil and 2022 Africa Cup winners Madagascar in pool A.

The United States, who are two-time AmeriCup champions and 2019 World Cup winners, were placed in pool B, where they will face Tokyo Olympics gold medallists Latvia, along with hosts Austria and 2022 Asia Cup winners Australia.

A fifth team will be decided in a qualifier in Eilat, Israel in May.

Pool C consists of 2022 World Cup runners-up Lithuania, facing Belgium, Poland and 2022 AmeriCup runners-up Puerto Rico, with a fifth team still being determined.

The Netherlands, two-time silver medallists, headline pool D and will face Mongolia, Switzerland, Japan and a fifth team also needing to qualify.

In the women's tournament, defending champions France will face their Europe Cup final opponents the Netherlands, Spain, Austria and 2022 AmeriCup runners-up Brazil in pool A.

In pool B, Germany will face Japan, Poland, 2022 Africa Cup winners Egypt and another team still needing to qualify.

Pool C will feature the United States, who are Tokyo 2020 gold medallist, last yea's runner-up Canada, Mongolia, Hungary and a qualifier team.

Lithuania will be facing off against former champions China, Italy, Romania and another team needing to qualify to round off pool D.

The 2023 FIBA 3x3 World Cup is set to be held from May 30 to June 4, and will feature 20 teams per gender, with qualification for Paris 2024 on the line.
