World Shooting Para Sport have revealed that the Slovenian town of Laško will host the 2020 European 10 metre Championships.

The competition will take place from June 11 to 19, serving as a Tokyo 2020 Paralympic Games warm-up event for many of the athletes.

"The desire for organising a shooting para sport competition in Slovenia has been growing for many years now," said Damijan Lazar, President of the National Paralympic Committee of Slovenia.

"And now we've got the opportunity to not only host an international event, but even the European Championships.

"We want to add a new sport to the successful organisations of Para table tennis competitions.

"There is no doubt that these major sporting events have positive effects on the recognition of para sports in Slovenia.”
