Egypt finished fifth at the International Hockey Federation Men's Series Finals by beating Chile 3-2 in Le Touquet in France.
Both teams had narrowly lost quarter-final matches yesterday at Stade Eric Choteau.
Egypt were twice pegged back by Chile after taking the lead but Amr Ibrahim's 42nd-minute effort handed the African side a 3-2 victory.
A playoff for seventh place was also held today.
Ukraine ended their tournament on a high with a comfortable win over Singapore.
The Ukrainians took a 3-0 lead, before Singapore mustered a late consolation.
Ireland and South Korea will meet in the first semi-final tomorrow, with hosts France then taking on Scotland.
The two finalists in Le Touquet progress to the next stage of Olympic qualifying.
