The Netherlands ranked joint 27th with Bulgaria in the medal table for the 2016 Winter YOG in Lillehammer, winning one bronze. 

Speed skater Daan Baks was the country's sole medallist following a third-place finish in the men's 1,500m event.

In all, The Netherlands had 13 competitors in six sports.

At Innsbruck 2012, The Netherlands finished sixth in the medal table with four gold, one silver and two bronze.

Speed skater Sanneke de Neeling won two of the gold medals with victories in the women's 3,000m and mass start events and also claimed silver in the 1,500m competition.

Ice hockey player Julie Zwarthoed came out on top in the women's individual skills challenge, while Marije van Huigenbosch and Sanne Dekker combined to secure the two-woman bobsleigh title.

Overall, The Netherlands was represented by 18 athletes in eight sports.
