Canada ranked eighth in the medal table for the 2016 Winter YOG in Lillehammer, winning three gold, two silver and one bronze.

The country's three gold medals came courtesy of Brooke Apshkrum in women's singles luge, freestyle skier Reece Howden in men's ski cross and their mixed curling team. 

In all, Canada had 54 competitors in 11 sports.

At Innsbruck 2012, the nation finished 15th in the medal table with two gold, one silver and six bronze.

Both gold medals came in snowboard slopestyle with Michael Ciccarelli winning the men's event and Audrey McManiman coming out on top in the women's competition. 

Canada was represented by 52 athletes in 12 sports.
