Bulgaria ranked joint 27th with The Netherlands in the medal table for the 2016 Winter YOG in Lillehammer, winning one bronze.

Short track speed skater Katrin Manoilova was the country's sole medallist following a third-place finish in the women's 500m event.

Manoilova, the winner of the B-final, was promoted to bronze after a chaotic A-final that saw only China's Zang Yize officially finish from the four racers, two of whom were disqualified.

In all, Bulgaria had 12 competitors in six sports.

At Innsbruck 2012, the nation failed to make its way onto the medal table.

It was represented by 11 athletes in six sports.
