Men's and women's winners will be crowned after two days of action at the Rugby League Commonwealth Championship, which begins in Moreton Bay in Australia tomorrow.

Eleven Commonwealth nations will be represented with matches played under the nines format.

All of the men's sides will be under-23 while the women's competition at Dolphin Stadium is an open event.

Pool A of the men's event contains hosts Australia, Fiji, Scotland and Wales while Pool B consists of England, Papua New Guinea, Samoa and Tonga.

Pool A in the women's competition is made up of Australia, Fiji and Samoa with Pool B containing Canada, Cook Islands and Tonga.

Three sides will also play in a disability event - Australia, New Zealand and a Commonwealth All-Star team.

The men's under-23 match between Tonga and Samoa is scheduled to kick-off the tournament on day one, which will see 22 matches played in all three categories.

The opening day ends with hosts Australia competing in three matches across all three divisions.

Firstly, the physical disability team take on New Zealand before both the women's and men's side face Fiji in the closing games.

Day one's pool matches will decide the schedule for the knock-out games on day two, which culminates in medal events.
