Norway clinched team event glory on day two of the men's International Ski Federation Ski Jumping World Cup season in Wisla.

The quartet of Johann André Forfang, Anders Fannemel, Daniel Andre Tande and Robert Johansson impressed at the Polish hill as they tallied 1023.8 points for gold.

It was a result which saw Norway pick up from where they left off last season as the country also won the final two team events of 2016-2017.

However, they missed the podium in the overall Nations Cup standings, finishing fourth.

Today's effort was spearheaded by big jumps of 129.5 metres from Forfang and 129m from Tande.

The Norwegian success meant that Poland's home jumpers had to settle for a share of the silver medal with Austria after winning the Nations Cup last term.

Double Olympic gold medallist Kamil Stoch was joined by Piotr Zyla, Dawid Kubacki and Maciej Kot to score 1006.5 points.

Austria, second overall last season, also scored 1006.5 with reigning individual World Cup champion Stefan Kraft recording one of the longest jumps of the day with 130m.

Only Germany's Richard Freitag and Japan's Noriaki Kasai went further, both jumping 130.5m as their countries came fourth and fifth respectively.

Kraft was joined by Daniel Huber, Clemens Aigner and Michael Hayboeck.

He topped the pile in the individual qualification session on day one of the World Cup season yesterday, with the final taking place tomorrow.
