Aida Roman won a thrilling final against her former team-mate Gabriela Bayardo to claim the women's recurve spoils at the Indoor Archery World Cup in Marrakech.

Mexico's Roman triumphed 6-5 at the Salle Couverte SYBA in a contest which came down to the final set.

Bayardo was a former member of the Mexican team but has switched nationality to represent The Netherlands.

Claudia Mandia of Italy won the bronze medal match in more comfortable fashion.

She beat British opponent Jaspreet Kaur Jessica Sagoo 6-0.

Italy enjoyed more success in the corresponding men's final as Matteo Fissore defeated Britain's Patrick Huston, 6-2.

Another Italian in Massimilano Mandia claimed bronze after also winning 6-2, against Matthew Requa of United States.

Braden Gellenthien won an all-US final in the men's compound event against Jesse Clayton, 148-146.

Dutchman Mike Schloesser prevented an American clean sweep by edging Reo Wilde, 150-149.

Sarah Prieels required a shootout score of 10 to won the corresponding women's event after a 147-147 tie with US opponent Paige Pearce-Gore.

Tania Jensen of Denmark beat American Cassidy Cox for bronze, 143-142.
