A delegation from the Korean Cultural Centre visited the headquarters of the Polish Olympic Committee (POC).

The group's trip to Olympic Centre in Warsaw was led by director Hyunjum Kim.

Marzenna Koszewska, the director for Olympics and international relations at the POC, represented the governing body alongside the director for the education department, Katarzyna Deberny.

The purpose of the visit was to look ahead to the 2018 Winter Olympic Games in South Korea, due to be held in Pyeongchang.

Both organisations promised to cooperate with each other in the lead-up to the Games, especially on educational and cultural activities.

The Centre will also be involved with the 19th Sports for All Festival, scheduled to be held on June 3 of this year in Warsaw.

Poland won four gold Olympic medals at Sochi 2014.

Kamil Stoch won two ski jumping titles at the Russian resort, clinching both the men's normal hill and large hill crowns.

Cross-country skier Justyna Kowalczyk won the women's 10 kilometres classical race and speed skater Zbigniew Bródka won the men's 1,500 metre gold.

Polish city Krakow was bidding for the 2022 Winter Olympics but the effort was halted when a referendum failed to back the plan.

Chinese capital Beijing was eventually awarded the Games.
