Belgium’s Kenny de Ketele and Moreno de Pauw will be aiming to retain their place at the top of the Six Day Series standings when the fourth stage of the event begins in the Danish capital of Copenhagen tomorrow.

The duo won the opening two events of the series in London and Amsterdam respectively, but finished second to Yoeri Havik and Wim Stroetinga at the Berlin Six Days champions earlier this week.

Following three events, De Ketele and De Pauw lead the competition on 200 points while Germany's Leif Lampater and Marcel Kalz sit in second on 130.

Havik and Stroetinga find themselves in fourth on 70 points while Great Britain's Mark Cavendish and Sir Bradley Wiggins sit in third in the overall standings on 90, but have only took part in the first meeting of the series in London.

Competition will take place from January 26 to 31 at Copenhagen’s Ballerup Super Arena, with scratch and madison events among the scheduled races throughout the week.

Austrians Andreas Müller and Andreas Graf, Frenchmen  Kneisky and Benjamin Thomas will all be in action.

Danish hopes rest on Michael Mørkøv and Lasse Norman and the pair of Jesper Mørkøv and Marc Hester.

Denmark's Amalie Dideriksen won the most recent women's omnium event in Berlin while there was also a victory for home favourite Maximilian Levy, as the German was crowned winner of the men's sprint classification on home soil.

The series intends to give six day racing a "21st Century makeover", with a television-friendly format set to feature international teams of riders across multiple events during the six days.

The top 12 male and female riders throughout the series will qualify for a one night final event, which will take place in Palma, Mallorca.

This is the final event before the season climax in Mallorca on March 17.
