It means that the event at the Taarnby Curling Club in Denmark's capital will now be known as the VoIP Defender World Junior Curling Championships 2016.

The business communications and networking company, a brand of Unified Communications as a Service (UCaaS) which is powered by Atom AMPD, was welcomed as a sponsor by WCF President Kate Caithness.

"We’re delighted to welcome VoIP Defender on board as title sponsor of the World Junior Curling Championships, and to be working with them to deliver a first-class event in Denmark," she said.

"VoIP Defender will gain global recognition through this partnership, with the World Junior Curling Championships being broadcast to a far reaching audience on World Curling TV.”

"Our involvement in this event follows many years of support and enjoyment of this team sport.

"We look forward to watching the competition among these young participants, and the future growth of World Curling itself.”

Atom AMPD has been a long-term IT partner of the WCF. 

The event in Copenhagen will feature ten men's and ten women's teams, with every competitor 21-years-old or younger.

Canada won both tournaments last year in Estonia's capital Tallinn.
