December 3 - Players like Lionel Messi (pictured) and Wayne Rooney will be eligible to play at London 2012 after FIFA today decided to retain its current under-23 status plus three over-age players at the Olympics.

November 27 - UEFA have unanimously backed a proposal to limit participation in future Olympic Games to players under the age of 21 which, if adopted, would keep players like Wayne Rooney (pictured) and Lionel Messi out of the London 2012 Games.

November 24 - The debate over the future of the Olympic Stadium being built for the 2012 Games is set to explode again if, as expected, it is included on Thursday among four grounds in London to be used if England are awarded the 2018 World Cup.
