November 4 - Andy Murray's (pictured) new £15 million five-year contract with Adidas has been officially signed.

As first revealed on insidethegames in September, Murray has ended his association with Fred Perry to join the world's second-largest sports goods maker who are also a multi-million pound Tier One sponsor of the London 2012 Olympics.

The British number one said:  "I'm really excited to be joining Adidas as they are a massive global sports brand with a credible heritage in tennis.

"I'm in no doubt that this deal will help me both on and off the court."

The Adidas deal represents the first coup for 19 Entertainment since it persuaded Murray to join its company at the turn of the year and have taken a more proactive role in promoting his image.

Murray, 22, who has won 13 titles since 2006, will sport his new look when he plays in the Hopman Cup in Perth, Australia, alongside Laura Robson in January.

The Scot joins a band of high-profile tennis players endorsing Adidas' brand that includes world number three Novak Djokovic, Jo-Wilfried Tsonga and Fernando Verdasco.

Murray made a winning return to action on Tuesday after a six week lay-off with a wrist injury when he beat Daniel Gimeno-Traver 6-3, 6-1 in the first round of the Valencia Open.
