no_strings_badminton_20-07-11July 31 - Badminton England has announced that it has designed a training and support resource for its network of No Strings Badminton coordinators through the Into Sport Group's Gateway system.

No Strings Badminton is an initiative to encourage casual participants in the sport to play more, with pay and play sessions run by a coordinator managing a number of players and courts.

With participation rising, Badminton England took the decision to provide additional training resources for their coordinators to ensure those playing the sport were getting as much out of it as they possibly could.

The new resource was created using the Gateway delivery system and video production service Into Sport Group offer, and was shot at the National Badminton Centre in Milton Keynes.

The videos are available along with other marketing materials and registers on Gateway, which can be used with CD, DVD or USB devices.

England Netball and England Table Tennis have already taken advantage of Into Sport Group's services, and the No Strings Badminton manager Tamsin Graveson said: "Our objective for this project was to provide support for our session coordinators to ensure that all No Strings Badminton participants get the same high quality experience at every session.

"Into Sport Group has helped us take our initial idea and turn it into a video based resource that achieves exactly the right tone for our national network of coordinators, whilst delivering the important key messages about the programme.

"We've had great the support from the production team who took time to really understand our objectives and our audience.

"We're delighted with the result of the video."

Jenny Laycock, Coaching Qualifications Manager of Badminton England, said: "Gateway has provided us with a really effective way of delivering training to our No Strings Badminton coordinators.

"The resource looks great, is easy to use and organises all the information and learning resources in a really accessible way.

"Into Sport Group really understood our objectives during this project and came up with solutions every step of the way.

"We will definitely be looking to utilise their expertise in the future to help enhance our coach education programmes and courses."
