European_Sponsor_Association_NEWMay 4 - The European Sponsorship Association (ESA) Insights Forum, which takes place tomorrow in London, is set to look at how the London 2012 Olympic Games will affect key business as well as the impact the Games will have on the future of the sponsorship industry in the UK once they have left town.

The forum comprises a panel of industry experts to debate these issues, who bring a wealth of knowledge and experience from a number of different perspectives.

Panellists include Sally Hancock of Lloyds TSB, who has been involved from the start as they were the first national partner to sign up for London 2012; Rob Clarke, who heads up HR at London 2012; Sarah Winckless, who was appointed to the first ever British Olympic Association (BOA) Athletes Commission; Amanda Fone, who has over 25 years of experience in recruitment; Marzena Bogdanowicz, formerly of the BOA and now working in consultancy; and Fredda Hurwitz, who works for the global Havas network.

The format is one of discussion, exploring issues such as staff retention and engagement as well as providing advice on having the correct processes and procedures in place.

Career advice for employees will also be covered along with the challenges of retaining staff in the lead up to the Games and managing employment for the Rio 2016 Games.

This event is considered particularly important for anyone working in the sponsorship industry keen to understand how the Games can impact on and shape the marketplace in 2013 and beyond.

The forum will take place at the offices of MediaCom, which are located at 124 Theobalds Road in London.

The event will run from 8:30am to 11:30am with entry costing £175 for non ESA members, exclusive of VAT, and £100 for ESA members.
