Ingram De Vos was elected as the new president of the Association of Summer Olympic International Federations (ASOIF) on 9 April 2024, coinciding with the SportAccord World Sport and Business Summit. He will serve a four-year term in his new role.

After his election, De Vos said: "I am very touched by today's result and would like to express my deep gratitude to the International Summer Sports Federations for their vote of confidence."

The collaboration between the Association of National Olympic Committees of Africa (ANOCA) and the ASOIF has produced significant results, including a key agreement that will make the upcoming African Games qualifiers for the Los Angeles Olympic Games.

Jean Michel Saive, President of the Belgian Olympic and Interfederal Committee, said: "We know Ingram to be a very reliable, hardworking, and honest man with a heart for sport. We are fortunate to be able to count on his expertise when it comes to important strategic decisions." 

"I would like to congratulate Ingram for taking on the enormous task of leading such an important organisation within the Olympic Movement as its first President from Belgium. I am fully convinced that he will be an excellent President of ASOIF," he added. 

ANOCA President Mustapha Berraf emphasised: "This is a time of friendship and brotherhood for a project that will be presented to the IOC and for which bilateral coordination meetings will be organised."
