On 27 March, the European University Sports Association hosted an online NUSA Coordination Webinar focusing on the upcoming 2024 European Universities Games to be held in Debrecen - Miskolc, Hungary.

The webinar was attended by more than 60 participants from 25 countries, representing various National University Sports Associations (NUSAs) across Europe. Its main objective was to provide NUSAs with important details to support their preparations for the 2024 European Universities Games (EUG).

After an introduction by Secretary General Matjaz Pecovnik, EUSA President Adam Roczek welcomed and thanked the participants and emphasised the importance of regular NUSA meetings for EUSA event organisers.

Secretary General Matjaz Pecovnik presented the Correspondence Executive Committee Activity Report, which included the voting and approval of new Associate Members, the Annual Awards, new Technical Delegates and EUSA Patronage Events.

The Secretary General also highlighted the upcoming Executive Committee meeting in Aveiro on 19-20 April, where the 2027 European University Championships and the 2028 European University Games will be awarded. 

Miha Zvan, EUSA Sports Manager, gave a detailed overview of EUG 2024, including information on locations, venues, inspection visits, schedules, technical delegates, and preparations for the Games. 

Aleksandra Andreeva, Sports Administrator, discussed registration for the EUG 2024, noting the high level and number of teams and athletes. She mentioned crucial deadlines and opened registration for selected sports until 29 March, which is now closed.

The final speaker, Sports Officer Eszter Gulyas, outlined the programme for the NUSA Coordination Meeting from 21-24 May and announced that registration would open in early April.

NUSA representatives were briefed about upcoming events, including the Championships and the 25th EUSA Anniversary Gala, ongoing projects and the opportunity to become an Associate Member of the EUSA. The webinar concluded with a question and answer session chaired by Pecovnik.
