The Serbian side, the defending men’s FIBA 3x3 World Tour champions, had won the first four rounds of the season going into the latest event in Edmonton, Canada, and triumphed again to claim a record fifth successive win on the circuit.

The Ub Huishan NE team for the round in Edmonton consisted of Strahinja Stojačić, Dejan Majstorović, Marko Branković and YuXuan Liu.

Stojačić was named the Most Valuable Player after scoring ten points in the final and finishing with a haul of 40 points throughout the whole of the event.

Puerto Rican side San Juan’s line-up of Luis Cuascut, Adrian Ocasio, Leandro Allende and Antonio Ralat took second place after their defeat in the final.

Top seeds for the event Ub Huishan topped Pool A with 43 points, winning both their pool matches against German side Dusseldorf LFDY and Chinese team Wuxi.

In the knockout stages, Ub Huishan overcame Latvian side Riga 21-17 and American team Princeton by the same scoreline in the semi-finals.

Meanwhile, San Juan finished second in Pool D, being edged out in their pool match against Mongolian outfit Ulaanbaatar MMC Energy 21-20, before earning a walkover win against Serbian side Liman Huishan NE.

In the knockout stages, they claimed two narrow wins on their way to the final - beating Dutch team Amsterdam HiPRO 17-14 in the quarter-finals, before overcoming American outfit Washington DC 21-19 in the semi-finals.

Defeated semi-finalists Washington DC and Princeton finished in third and fourth places respectively.

The next round of the FIBA 3x3 World Tour circuit is due to take place in Prague, Czech Republic on August 5 and 6.
