Paris 2024 Olympic works delivery company Solideo has taken on five new projects prior to the Games scheduled for July 26 to August 11 next year.

It already had 64 jobs under its supervision before the new quintet and their budgets were formalised at the company's Board meeting today.

An additional €5 million (£4.3 million/$5.5 million) will be needed for the work.

Part of this sum was taken from the Organising Committee budget which benefitted from a funding boost from the French Government in May.

This brings the Games' infrastructure total to €1.716 billion (£1.4 billion/$1.9 billion).

The sand of the Ladoumègue Sports Centre needs to be replaced for beach volleyball training at a cost of €327,000 (£283,000/$365,000) while the changing rooms of the Vélodrome Jacques Anquetil are due to be renovated at a cost of €80,000 (£69,000/$89,000).

All of the bulbs at the Parc des Princes will also be changed after the Organising Committee judged that the current lights are too slow to turn on.

Solideo is set to pay half of the €800,000 (£693,500/$895,000) total required for the project.

Following the approval of the marathon and road cycling routes prior to the Games, clearing them of any obstacles is the latest project.

This will also be carried out by Solideo although a price has not been placed on this.

International Cycling Union and French Olympic Committee President David Lappartient has claimed that the Paris 2024 cycling routes "exceeded our expectations".

The road route was unveiled earlier this month and for the first time in history, it has both the men's and women's time trials set for an identical course of 32.4 kilometres.

The men's road race is due to take place over 273km while the women's will be contested on a 158km route.
