The United States finished the group stages of the 2023 International Volleyball Federation (FIVB) Men's Nations League on top with 31 points after week three.

Japan was second with 27 points while Poland came in third after bagging 25 points following the final round of pool matches in Anaheim and Pasay City.

The other teams that qualified for the quarter-finals at the Ergo Arena in Gdańsk, Poland, from July 19 to 23, are Italy, Argentina, Brazil, Slovenia and France.

Despite losing 2-3 to Argentina, the USA managed to top the group stages after defeating Cuba, France and Bulgaria 3-0.

After a bronze in 2018 and silver medals in 2019 and 2022, they will be up against defending champions France for a semi-final berth.

France, meanwhile, qualified last after beating Germany and Serbia 3-1 and registered a straight-sets victory against Iran.

World champions Italy will be up against Olympic bronze medallists Argentina in the quarters.

The Italians finished fourth last year in the Nations League and lost 1-3 to Brazil in the final round of group matches.

However, they bounced back with a 3-2 win over Canada and followed it up with a 3-0 triumph against Slovenia.

The concluded the set of matches in Pasay City by getting the better of Japan 3-1.

Argentina won all their final group stage fixtures, starting with a 3-1 win over Serbia.

Apart from upsetting the hosts, they beat Germany 3-0 and Iran 3-2 in Anaheim.

Japan has a meeting with Slovenia in the next round as both teams look to reach the podium for the first time.

The Japanese finished second overall despite losing to Italy and Poland in last group stage fixtures.

They beat China 3-2 and emerged victorious against the Netherlands 3-1.

Slovenia managed only two wins in Anaheim but finished seventh after winning eight of their 12 matches.

They defeated China 3-1 and the Netherlands 3-0 but lost to Italy and Poland.

Having reached the Finals of all Nations League editions so far, Poland and Brazil will face each other for a sport in the last-four.

With two bronzes and a runners-up medal, Poland will be hoping to take advantage of the home crowd in Gdańsk against the 2021 champions.

They recently beat Brazil 3-1 in Pasay City on July 7 and also won against Slovenia, Canada and Japan.

Brazil, meanwhile, won 3-0 against China and the Netherlands and went down to Italy 1-3.
