Brazilian players stole the show at the latest Teqball Tour event in Los Angeles, with Leonardo Lindoso de Almeida winning men's and mixed doubles golds with his compatriots and Rafaella Fontes triumphing in the women's doubles with Hungary's Gabriella Kota.

Group stage matches were held at Bishop Mora Salesian High School on turf and finals at the Santa Monica Pier on sports flooring for the second consecutive leg of the Teqball Tour to be staged in the American city.

Lindoso de Almeida and Leonardo Santana earned victory in the men's doubles with an impressive 12-4, 12-7 win against another Brazilian player in Bruno Milhomens, who was playing with the United States' Frankie Diaz.

The pairs had also met in the group stage, with Santana and Lindoso de Almeida prevailing 12-3, 12-4.

The US' Dennis Correia and Santhy Montufar denied another Brazilian pairing a place on the podium as they won the bronze match 12-6, 10-12, 12-7 against Joao Barreto and Pedro Henrique Lube Valladao.

Lindoso de Almeida's mixed doubles gold came with Vania Moraes da Cruz.

The pair were runners-up at last year's World Championships in the German city of Nuremberg, but bettered that with a fine 12-5, 12-5 win against the US' Margaret Osmundson and Luka Pilic.

The bronze match was also between a Brazilian and American pairing, and it too ended in a defeat for the home favourites as Carolyn Greco and Frankie Diaz lost 12-11, 12-9 to Santana and Fontes.

Fontes and Kota won an entertaining women's doubles final 12-11, 10-12, 12-10 against Moraes da Cruz and Ester Viana Mendes to deny Brazil a clean sweep of the gold medals.

Singles world champion Greco and Osmundson won an all-American bronze match 12-3, 12-6 against Kimberly Baker and Tiffany Jackson.

Los Angeles is also set to host the next Teqball Tour event from July 14 to 16, before the circuit moves to Qingdao in China from August 4 to 6.
