Malaysia won the men's seven-a-side football gold medal at the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) Para Games after a penalty shootout victory in Phnom Penh.

The final with Indonesia finished 1-1 but Malaysia triumphed 3-1 on spot kicks in Cambodia's capital city.

Thailand beat Myanmar 3-2 in the bronze medal match.

Other team sports also reached their conclusion on the penultimate day of the Games.

In blind football, Thailand saw off Malaysia 4-0 in the men's final.

Hosts Cambodia picked up a medal as they beat Laos by the same scoreline for bronze.

Thailand also won both goalball finals as they beat Indonesia 8-3 for gold in the men's competition.

In the women's event they saw off Laos 2-0 to top the podium.

Myanmar beat Malaysia 14-4 to win the men's bronze medals, but the Malaysians did claim the third step of the podium in the women's competition as they saw off Indonesia 3-0.

In sitting volleyball, Thailand earned a 3-2 win over Indonesia to win gold.

Cambodia won another home bronze as they beat Myanmar 3-0.

Thailand triumphed in all three boccia finals, the mixed pair BC4, mixed pair BC3 and mixed team BC1-2.

The Games will conclude tomorrow with 12 badminton finals the only sport on the schedule.
