Switzerland completed the round-robin stage unbeaten with 12 wins in the Göransson Arena to seal a spot in the semi-finals.

The defending champions began their day with a tense 7-6 win against Scotland thanks to a last-end point to keep their winning streak alive.

The evening session then saw Silvana Tirinzoni's side leave it late once more as they beat South Korea 5-3, with the separating two points also coming in the final period.

It means that they have now won 33 World Championship matches in a row, with their last loss coming against Sweden in 2021.

Tirinzoni and company could face the host nation in the semi-final as they prepare to face Italy in the first knockout round.

Canada and Japan also meet on the other side of the bracket for the chance to play second-placed Norway in the next semi-final.

Norway finished on an 8-4 win-loss record as they beat Italy 6-5 and Germany 6-3 on the final day of round-robin action.

"Oh its amazing," said Norwegian skip Marianne Rørvik after leading her country to the semi-finals for the first time in 18 years.

"It is a bit unexpected from where we started the week.

"To be second seed is really nice.

"We tried not to look at the game (Sweden v Denmark) next to us.

"We can only control our own game - even if we did glance a little bit.

"But when we saw Denmark win, we realised we couldn't give this up.

"We need to calm down and enjoy it.

"We want to play the same game we've played all week and try not to do anything different."

The action is set to continue tomorrow starting with the knockout qualification games at 10am CET followed by the semi-finals at 4pm.
