New Board appointments and new member federations have been approved at an online International Jump Rope Union (IJRU) Congress.

The Hellenic Cheerleading Federation is now a full IJRU member, while the Somali Jump Rope Federation has been given provisional membership.

Luke Winstanley was given the green light to act as IJRU treasurer, while three more new Board members have been added to sit alongside the Australian.

They are Maria del Sol Rodriguez Lopez from Mexico, Belgian Kurt Moens and Nadia Aidli from France.

The IJRU has observer status with the Global Association of International Sports Federations (GAISF).

GAISF is set to be dissolved later this month.

The IJRU is also a World Anti-Doping Code signatory and national governing bodies were given information about anti-doping resources during the Congress.

An update on next year's World Championships in Colorado Springs was offered, while President Shaun Hamilton urged national governing bodies to participate in IJRU activities.

Dates of July 16 to 23 have been set for next year's IJRU World Championships.
