Yesterday, Gilliver claimed his third individual title to sweep the solo events.

On the final day of the competition, he partnered with compatriots Dimitri Coutya and Oliver Lam-Watson to win gold in the men’s team sabre.

They defeated French trio Moez El Assine, Ludovic Lemoine and Maxime Valet in the final.

Italy's Matteo Dei Rossi, Edoardo Giordan, Alberto Morelli and Gianmarco Paolucci took the bronze medal.

Britain’s triumph was followed up with another in the mixed épée team event.
