Itzulia Women winner Demi Vollering is among the favourites to claim the four-stage Vuelta a Burgos Feminas title with the International Cycling Union (UCI) Women’s WorldTour event set to begin tomorrow.

The Dutch SD Worx cyclist came out on top in the Basque Country on Sunday (May 15) after sweeping all three stages of the first edition of the Women's WorldTour event, to claim the overall title.

Teammate Lotte Kopecky and FDJ Nouvelle-Aquitaine Futuroscope's Marta Cavalli have also been tipped to make an impact in Spain.

Kopecky of Belgium was victorious at her home Tour of Flanders and Strade Bianche Donne earlier in the year as well as taking the runners-up position at Paris-Roubaix.

Cavalli of Italy was triumphant at the Amstel Gold Race in The Netherlands and Fleche Wallonne in Belgium.

Mavi García of UAE Team ADQ and Sandra Alonso of Bizkaia–Durango are expected to represent the host nation.

Riders are expected to travel from the small municipality of Pedrosa del Príncipe to the city of Aranda de Duero over 122 kilometres during the first stage of the race.

Stage two is due to follow over 129km from Sasamón to Aguilar de Campo.

The third stage is anticipated to start in Medina de Pomar and finish in Ojo Guareña with cyclists completing a 113.4km route.

On the final stage riders are due to cover 125km from Covarrubias to Lagunas de Neila.

The event is scheduled to begin tomorrow and run until Sunday (May 22).
