The organisers of the 2023 International Blind Sports Federation (IBSA) World Games in Birmingham have made a call for three independent Board members.

British Blind Sport, Birmingham City Council, the University of Birmingham and UK Sport have all combined to make a successful bid for the Games.

They are now in the process of forming a Board which will include current stakeholders as well as the independent members.

The purpose of the Board will be to "provide oversight and strategic direction to the development, planning and staging" of the Games.

It is hoped that the three independent members will "understand the role that sport, participation, elite Para-sport and major events can play in society".

The closing date for applications is Sunday (November 22) with more details here.
