The FIA have launched their third Gran Turismo season ©FIA

The Fédération Internationale de l'Automobile (FIA) Certified Gran Turismo Championships 2020 started yesterday with the hosting of the first three of 30 rounds in the Online Series.

After its inception in 2018, the Series heads into its third season and was started by the separate Invitational World Tour live event in Sydney on February 15 and 16.

It will also be split into five regions globally with those being Europe, the Middle East and Africa, Asia, North America, Central and South America and Oceania.


Those taking part in the competition have to complete a GT Sport Mode registration form and have the option to compete in the Nations Cup, the Manufacturer Series' Championship, or both of them.

Each stage will see the the top ranked players invited to compete against each other in their own Top 16 Superstars races, with all of those races being broadcast on the official Gran Turismo YouTube channel.

The first ones to be broadcast will be on May 3 and 4 depending on region.
