The University of Jeddah has signed a cooperation agreement with the Saudi Sport Hub.

As reported by AlKhaleej Today, the agreement, signed in Jeddah Governorate, aims to serve the sports system in building a community of business leaders within universities in addition to working relationships and transferring student ideas to emerging companies.

It also seeks to exchange visits in sports science, participation, seminars and cooperation in the establishment of competitions, conferences and scientific forums in the field of sports.

The cooperation agreement was signed by Akram Al-Aqbi, dean of the College of Sports Sciences which represented the University of Jeddah, and Talal Ahmed Al-Maghrabi, chairman of the Board of Directors of the Saudi Sports Incubator.

Al-Aqbi claimed that there is a great interest in the concept of sport and its importance for all.

He stated work will be done to develop programmes and establish activities that help generate interest in sports as subjects with a scientific method.

It is hoped this will enable students to obtain higher university degrees, contributing to achieving the Saudi Vision 2030.

Al-Aqbi added that the College of Sports Sciences' interest in sports studies and its educational curricula will contribute to the production of specialised and educated cadres of higher education, consolidating the concept of sport for both sexes.
