Fabrizio Olmi and Davide Di Maria of Italy dethroned defending champions Will Street and Johnny Currell of Britain in a winner-takes-all medal race in the RS Venture Connect event at the Para World Sailing Championships in Spain.
Olmi and Di Maria claimed victory the medal race on the final day of the Championships to secure the title in Puerto Sherry in the Spanish city of Cádiz.
The Italians finished ahead of Canada's John McRoberts and Scott Lutes, while last year's winners Street and Currell took bronze.
Double Paralympic champion Damien Seguin of France triumphed in the 2.4mR class with victory in the medal race on the final day of the Championships.
Seguin ended the competition with 15 points, 18 in front of nearest challenger Antonio Squizzato of Italy.
Norway's Bjørnar Erikstad was the recipient of the bronze medal on 40 points.
Poland's 2017 world champion Piotr Cichocki returned to the top of the podium in the Hansa 303 class.
Cichocki followed Seguin in winning the medal race to conclude the event on 16 points, while Chris Symonds of Australia earned silver on 35 points.
Chi-Chian Wu of Chinese Taipei was a further two points adrift in third.
Home favourite Violeta Del Reino delivered gold for the host nation in the Hansa 303 women event with victory in the medal race.
Del Reino emerged triumphant from the six-boat fleet on 30 points, six ahead of Australia's Alison Weatherly in silver medal position.
The bronze medal went to Brazil's Ana Paula Marques on 40 points.
