The Moroccan Olympic Committee (CNOM) organised a meeting for 10 athletes selected by Olympic Solidarity for the Olympic Scholarship Programme. 

The initiative provides financial and technical support for elite athletes in their attempts to qualify for the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games. 

CNOM had launched a call for applications, with Olympic Solidarity then selecting suitable athletes.

Judokas Asma Niang and Imad Bassou were picked, alongside wrestler Zied Ait Ouagram.

Swimmer Driss Lahraichi, gymnast Hamza Houssaini, fencer Houssam El Kord and triathlete Badr Siwane were also selected.

Making up the list were golfer Maha Haddioui, canoeist Mathis Soudi and rower Sarah Fraincart. 

The Presidents and national technical directors of the federations concerned also attended the meeting to discuss how the scholarship procedure would work.
