altOctober 8 - England Squash and Racketball (ESR) has signed a £200,000-plus ($318,000), three-year sponsorship deal with one of the sport’s leading brands.

Tecnifibre - known for its world famous 305 green squash string - will become title sponsor of the British Junior Open, British Junior Closed and the English Junior Nationals.

As "Official Performance Partner" the French company will also work closely with the ESR Regional Academies - the elite squad of players, totalling over 600 of the best juniors in the country, which feeds the national squads.

Tecnifibre’s sport marketing manager Guillaume Ducruet said: "Our commitment to squash continues to build the brand’s reputation with players of all ages and we hope to see some of the performance juniors as future ambassadors for Tecnifibre."

Nick Rider, England Squash and Racketball’s chief executive, said: "Tecnifibre are a valuable partner and we are thrilled that the brand will be continuing its relationship with the sport.

"Our players need good quality performance products to be able to compete effectively at the highest level and Tecnifibre provide the perfect solution."

Tecnifibre’s growing commitment to ESR builds on a successful four-year partnership with the sport, sponsoring international and national junior squash events.

The Regional Academies are led by ESR’s performance staff and coaches who will be acting as Tecnifibre ambassadors when leading the groups and working with current Tecnifibre England juniors such as Sam Fenwick, Robert Downer, Ben Coleman, and David Haley.

England senior and junior National teams will exclusively compete in Tecnifibre’s high quality performance products whenever they represent England.

The British Junior Closed Championships are taking place at the National Squash Centre, Manchester from October 29-31.
