The International Volleyball Federation (FIVB) Men's Nations League Finals get underway tomorrow in Lille in France, with the top-six teams from the preliminary rounds going head-to-head for glory.

It will be the first Nations League Finals to be held with the competition only introduced this year.

Hosts France will be looking to build on their success in the pool games, where they finished top of the table with only three defeats from 15 matches.

They will have a tough start though, facing Rio 2016 Olympic champions Brazil in their first Pool A match.

Serbia are also in the pool.

Russia are the most decorated team in the competition, boasting four Olympic golds - including from their time as the Soviet Union - and six FIVB World Championship titles.

Like France, the reigning European champions also performed impressively in the pool stage and will be looking to keep that up when they open against Poland in Pool B tomorrow.

United States complete the pool.

In terms of individual accolades, China's Jiang Chuan, Italy's Ivan Zaytsev, Serbia's Aleksandar Atanasijevic and Australia's Paul Carroll are so far the only players to have scored 30 points or more in a single Nations League match this year.

Jiang currently tops the list with 37 points scored in China's 3-2 win over France in Lodz in Poland, though he will not be present in Lille.

Jiang also currently tops the overall scorers table with 273 points, 58 ahead of Brazil's Wallace De Souza.

De Souza will match Jiang's record if Brazil go all the way and he averages at least 15 points in every match.

The tournament will begin at 6pm local time with Russia versus Poland, before hosts France play Brazil at 8:45pm.

The final will go ahead at 8:45 in the evening on Sunday July 8.

It follows the women's event which was won by the US on Sunday (July 1).
