Zviadi Pataridze and Nugzari Tsurtsumia both overcame Turkish opponents to take continental gold in Istanbul.

Tsurtsumia secured victory in the 55 kilograms division with a battling 11-8 victory over Ekrem Ozturk.

Bronze medals in the category went to Norayr Hakhoyan of Armenia and Romania's Florin Tita.
