High jumpers Mariya Lasitskene and Danil Lysenko, triple jumpers Viktoriya Prokopenko and Anna Krylova, pole vaulters Anzhelika Sidorova and Olga Mullina and shot put athlete Maksim Afonin will be accompanied by coaches Gennady Gabrilyan, Evgeny Zagorulko, Svetlana Abramova and Andrey Klimov.

The seven athletes and four coaches will compete under a neutral flag at the competition following the suspension of the Russian Athletics Federation (RusAF) by the IAAF in November 2015.

This came after the World Anti-Doping Agency's Independent Commission uncovered widespread doping offences in Russian track and field.

It was announced yesterday that Afonin and Krylova had been given permission by the IAAF to compete as neutrals at international competitions following their appeals.

In December 2016, the IAAF allowed Russian athletes who met specific anti-doping criteria to compete at events as neutrals with 21 Russian athletes of the 88 who appealed having been granted permission to compete so far.

The IAAF, however, also say that another 21 applications have not been approved and RusAF have yet to meet reinstatement criteria to have their suspension quashed.

The World Indoor Championships will take place from March 1 to 4 in the English city.

Russians competed under the Authorised Neutral Athletes banner at last year's outdoor World Championships in London.
