Travel agents have begun their ticket programmes in countries including Argentina, Australia, France and New Zealand to kick-off the public sales process for the tournament.

In all, 21 travel agents will eventually offer tour packages which guarantee fans a place at all of their country's matches at the World Cup.

According to World Rugby, the packages "will cater for every need and budget with a wide range of experiences offered, ensuring that Japan 2019 will deliver an unforgettable experience with a rugby and Asian fusion".

Home Japanese fans will also be able to buy their own ticket packages via the Japan Travel Bureau from the end of January.

World Rugby chairman Bill Beaumont said: "This represents an exciting and important milestone for rugby fans around the world. 

"The launch of official supporter tours means that fans can now guarantee their place at Rugby World Cup 2019, a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to be at the heart of Asia's first Rugby World Cup and a unique sporting and travel experience."

Priority sales for individual match tickets will go on sale to the "rugby family" in Japan on February 19.

On September 19, a global ballot for individual match tickets will open before concluding on November 12.

Last month, World Rugby called for Japan 2019 to make "every day count" this year as build-up continues to the first World Cup in Asia.

It comes after the governing body concluded its fifth official review of the flagship tournament with a week of meetings in Tokyo.

Competition is scheduled for between September 20 and November 2.

New Zealand are the defending champions.
