PROPROJEKT project management consultants and AS + P Albert Speer architects have assumed responsibility for German Houses at the Pyeongchang 2018 and Tokyo 2020 Olympic and Paralympic Games, it has been announced. 

The deal was signed with both the German Olympic Sports Confederation (DOSB) and the German Disability Sports Confederation after being coordinated by marketing partners Deutsche Sportmarketing.

It will apply for both the Olympic and Paralympic Games.

"We are glad that we have now won PROPROJEKT and AS + P for the German House as a strategic partner," said DOSB president Alfons Hörmann.

"We will certainly benefit from the experience and expertise that PROPROJEKT and AS + P bring from numerous successful national and international projects in and outside the sport."

The deal was agreed following meetings here in the South Korean county.

The German House here in Pyeongchang will be situated at the Birch Hill Golf Club at the Yongpeong Resort where slalom and giant slalom Alpine skiing competitions are due to take place.

It also lies close to venues for ski jumping, bobsleigh, luge, biathlon cross country skiing as well as the Olympic Plaza ceremonies venue and the Olympic Family Hotels.

A venue for Tokyo 2020 has not yet been confirmed.

PROPROJEKT and AS + P have been involved in numerous projects in sport in recent years.

This includes the new DOSB offices in Frankfurt Otto-Fleck-lane.

They also helped develop the masterplan for the inner city of Cologne and the European Central Bank offices in Frankfurt.
