The company, which specialises in sport, leisure and entertainment cover, will serve as a diamond level partner of the ice hockey governing body.

They will be involved with the USA Hockey Hall of Fame induction celebration and the President's Awards Dinner.

In addition, K&K will support the Excellence in Safety Award, an annual honour which recognises an individual "who has contributed significantly to the furtherance of safety in ice hockey".

Lee Meyer, the senior director of marketing for USA Hockey, welcomed the arrangement.

"We’re pleased to welcome K&K Insurance to our growing list of partners,” he said.

"They share our passion for continuing to grow and improve the game and we look forward to building our relationship.”

K&K's national accounts manager Lou Valentic said that there were similarities between the two organisations.
